Russian state media did not publish any news about the missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro

Russian state media RIA Novosti and TASS did not publish any news that the Russian Federation had hit a residential building in Dnipro with a rocket. As a result of the strike, nine people have already died, more than 60 were injured. However, none of the state publications wrote about this. The Vesti publication (part of the VGTRK holding) did not devote a single line to this either.

Other pro-government media reported the strike as some kind of explosion, with the addition that it was "allegedly a missile attack according to the Ukrainian authorities." For example, Kommersant and Gazeta.ru and Lenta.ru, which reprinted it. Whose this "supposedly rocket" is not specified.

Separate resources began to "work out" the news story in a different way – to prove that there was no missile hit. The pro-government publication Readovka published an “analysis” of the situation: the material says that the blame for everything is a gas explosion.

“The house in Dnepropetrovsk could not “form” as a result of the arrival of a rocket – too serious damage. Most likely a gas explosion, no need for manipulation here. But there is only one reason – the Ukrainian air defense missed again.

The Telegram channel “War on Fakes”, created immediately after Russia’s February invasion of Ukraine for propaganda purposes, also announced a gas explosion. It exploded, according to the authors of the channel, because the Ukrainian air defense system went off, as the Russian missile was flying towards a military facility. Despite this, the Telegram channel puts the blame for the explosion on the Ukrainians. How the work of air defense could lead to such a gas explosion that half the house collapsed is not explained.
