Former Wagner PMC mercenary, commander of Yevgeny Nuzhin, who was beaten with a sledgehammer, Andrey Medvedev, crossed the border into Norway and requested asylum there. Medvedev himself told The Insider about this and confirmed the information that he is now in Oslo.
Earlier, Vladimir Osechkin, the founder of the Gulagu net project, said that Medvedev managed to cross the border.
“Another evacuation completed successfully. More precisely, here we are not even talking about evacuation, but about illegally crossing the border and escaping from Russia under the barking of watchdogs and shots in the back from the border service of the FSB, ”Osechkin wrote. According to him, Medvedev crossed the border near the village of Nikel in the Murmansk region, and once in Norway, he requested asylum.
The fact that a Russian citizen crossed the border with Norway on the night of Thursday to Friday was also reported by the country's police on January 13, NRK reports . He was detained near the village of Skroytnes in the Pasvikdalen valley.
“The man was detained by the border patrol of the Norwegian armed forces and the police. He applied for asylum in Norway. Now we are working to identify the person, we are interviewing him, ”said Tarjei Sirma-Tellefsen, chief of police headquarters, in a press release.
Andrei Medvedev earlier in an interview with The Insider said that he was aware of ten cases when the "Wagnerites" executed their mercenaries who refused to participate in hostilities. According to him, he personally attended several executions.
According to Medvedev, two of the ten executed, of whom he knows, were not former prisoners. "Wagnerian" Nuzhin, who was killed with a sledgehammer, served in Medvedev's unit.

Yevgeny Nuzhin is a prisoner who signed a contract with the Wagner PMC and went to war. Shortly after he ended up in Ukraine, he surrendered and gave several interviews from there, where he said that he did not support the war and wanted to stay in Ukraine. On November 13, a video was distributed on the networks, in which Nuzhin was killed with a sledgehammer. Later it turned out that Nuzhin was exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners and handed over to the Wagnerites.
