Platform “Tilda” removed the text about Mariupol from the admin panel of the “Pskov province”

Denis Kamalyagin, editor-in-chief of the Pskov Guberniya publication blocked in Russia, said that an article about Mariupol had been removed from the admin panel of the site based on the Tilda platform. When the editors asked the platform administration about this, they answered that they would not do this if the publication did not create a “mirror” of the site.

“We were not just blocked without warning, but (this is simply amazing) one text was manually cut out of the admin panel. It was a text about Mariupol and its life before the New Year. Of course, we restored everything, but ran into Tilda, asking how you can ask to correct some violations if you don’t even give us access to internal administration. And Tilda answered. You know what? They said that if we promise not to make “mirrors”, they will try to negotiate with us. And if we continue to make new versions of “Gubernia”, then yes, let’s go to hell.”

"Mirror" is an exact copy of the site, recreated on another domain. Blocked publications are forced to create "mirrors" to avoid blocking.

The website of the “Pskov province” has been blocked since March 2022, and Kamalyagin himself is included in the list of “foreign agents”. At the same time, according to Kamalyagin, since the beginning of 2023, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the RKN began to block the site almost every day – “yesterday they blocked the page on Tilda again (14 times), today the main site (15).”
