Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, said on his Facebook that he had written a letter of resignation. “I want to set an example of civilized behavior: a fundamental mistake, then resign,” he wrote.
Arestovich published a photograph of a statement written to the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak. The document is dated January 17th.
Earlier today, Arestovich published a post apologizing for his words that a missile that hit a residential building in Dnipro was shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces. “I made a serious mistake on live TV. It doesn’t matter for what reason and how the audience heard it, but from now on I will be stricter about the information that I voice,” wrote an adviser to the presidential office.
