The American manufacturer of clothing, as well as shoes and accessories, Michael Kors has decided to stop deliveries to Russia, Izvestia writes . The brand's stores will begin selling other brands that are supplied to the country by the BNS Group, the same distributor that worked with Michael Kors.
As the newspaper found out, the Jeans Club in the Mega Teply Stan shopping center will be the first outlet to operate in place of the official store of the departed brand. In the Randevu shoe chain, Izvestia was told that Michael Kors shoes had not been delivered to them since last year. Sellers say they are selling off leftovers.
One of Izvestia's interlocutors said that MEXX, Coccinelle, Marc O'Polo, Calvin Klein Jeans, Hugo, Karl Lagerfeld Jeans – brands included in the Jeans Club multi-brand network – will be sold in the former Michael Kors stores.
Michael Kors was one of the last American brands that still continued to operate on the Russian market. Most US companies left Russia after the invasion of Ukraine began. Izvestia's sources note that Michael Kors items can still be found on marketplaces that receive goods through Kazakhstan.
In 2022, many clothing and footwear manufacturers left the Russian market, including major brands such as H&M, Zara, Bershka, Nike and Adidas.
