Roskomnadzor has blocked hundreds of pages of the site “Sex change and gay sex is cool”, which was created to troll the ban on LGBT “propaganda”

Roskomnadzor has blocked 216 pages of the site smena-pola-i-gay-sex-eto-kruto.rashka.net since early December, when the law on a complete ban on LGBT “propaganda” in Russia came into force. This was announced by one of the founders of the "Russian LGBT Network" Igor Kochetkov in the Telegram channel.

“Obviously, a site with such a name could only be created specifically to violate the law. The texts about “gay sex” and “sex change” on it do not represent any educational or human rights value and may have been generated by a neural network,” the human rights activist writes.

According to Kochetkov, Roskomnadzor blocked not entire sites, but only some pages on them.

Kochetkov also found out that the rashka.net domain was registered on December 17, 2022. Almost immediately, in various regions of the Russian Federation, the courts began to decide on its blocking.

“Personally, I can’t get rid of the impression that the site was created by those who needed to quickly report on mass blocking,” Kochetkov said.

At the same time, Roskomsvoboda notes that “Sex change and gay sex is cool” was created to troll government agencies. Previously, the project used the domains Vatnikov.Net, Anticenzura, PontorezNet and others.

“The project continues to troll the authorities, primarily regional courts and prosecutors, by posting prohibited materials on its pages,” writes Roskomsvoboda, noting that the project’s creators apparently decided to give the new domain such a name, trolling the authorities not only by reprinting prohibited materials , but also by the site name itself.

On December 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law completely banning "propaganda" of "non-traditional" sexual relations and transgender transition. Earlier, the amendments were unanimously approved by deputies of the State Duma and members of the Federation Council.

The document provides for a ban on "propaganda" of "non-traditional" relationships, pedophilia and gender reassignment among people of any age on the Internet, media, books, movies and advertising. According to the law, a system of fines for citizens has been introduced – from 50 to 800 thousand rubles. For legal entities, the fine can reach 10 million rubles. In addition, for "propaganda" LGBT foreigners can now be expelled from the country.

Previously, Russian law provided for a ban only on "LGBT propaganda" among minors.

Already on December 6, the Respublika and Chitai-gorod bookstores withdrew some of the books describing “non-traditional” relationships from sale due to a new law signed by Vladimir Putin banning “LGBT propaganda”. The offices of the companies ordered the removal of LGBT-themed books from stores, including “Summer in a Pioneer Tie” and “What the Swallow Is Silent About” by Elena Malisova and Katerina Silvanova.
