“Kommersant”: Eight mobilized people who left the “LPR” for Podolsk were mobilized for desertion

Eight mobilized from the Kaliningrad region, who refused to fight in Ukraine and left the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic, were prosecuted for desertion. It is reported by "Kommersant".

According to the publication, the mobilized fled from the field camp in the “LPR” at the end of December 2022. By taxi and hitchhiking, they got to Podolsk near Moscow, after which they themselves came to the police to hand over their regular weapons, which they took with them. The police detained them.

The detainees told investigators that they were mobilized at the end of September, after which they were transferred to the "LPR", where they were supposed to undergo training. But instead of the promised shooting training, they were forced to build dugouts and live in them. The mobilized complained about poor conditions. In order not to go to the front line, they decided to return to Russia "to save life and health."

Junior Sergeant Yevgeny Kravchenko in the UK was named the organizer of the escape, he was placed in a pre-trial detention center until February 27. Others were transferred under the supervision of the command of the military unit in the military town of Chekhov-4.
