A court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced local residents to almost three years in prison for setting fire to a Z-car

The Proletarsky District Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Irina Kuznetsova and Oleg Denisov to real terms in a colony-settlement for setting fire to a car with a Z-symbol. This was reported by the prosecutor's office of the Rostov region.

Kuznetsova and Denisov were found guilty under Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction of another's property). Denisov was sentenced to 2 years 8 months, and Kuznetsova to 2 years and 7 months in prison.

According to the investigation, 24-year-old Oleg Denisov and 22-year-old Irina Kuznetsova set fire to the car in July 2022. The car, according to the prosecutor's office, was completely destroyed, the total damage amounted to more than 700 thousand rubles.

According to investigators, Kuznetsova and Denisov were allegedly paid for the arson, and they received the order from an unnamed Telegram channel, which was “controlled from the territory of Ukraine by adherents of neo-Nazi ideology.”
