The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the return of 63 Russian soldiers from Ukrainian captivity. The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, wrote that 116 military men returned to Ukraine – two officers and 114 privates and sergeants.
As stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in particular, persons of a “sensitive category” were released, the exchange of which became possible thanks to the mediation of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates. Who exactly it is is not specified.
“Currently, all military personnel are on the territory of the Russian Federation. They are provided with the necessary psychological and medical assistance, and are also given the opportunity to contact their relatives, ”the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

According to Yermak, they also managed to return to Ukraine the bodies of dead foreign volunteers Christopher Matthew Perry and Andrew Tobias Matthew, and the body of a deceased Ukrainian volunteer who served in the French Foreign Legion.
