The Russian tax authorities began registering firms in Zaporozhye, a Ukrainian city that Russia does not control

The Russian Federal Tax Service began to enter into the tax register companies with a legal address in Zaporozhye, despite the fact that the city and its taxation are not controlled by Russia in any way. Investigative journalist Andrey Zakharov drew attention to this in his Telegram channel.

Zakharov noted that, most likely, so far the companies that actually work in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhia region are entered into the register, but they are legally registered in the regional center, which the Russian Federation has not been able to capture. In particular, the operator of the Ferris wheel in Berdyansk was included in the register of the Federal Tax Service.

“What, it’s convenient! — Did you pay taxes? —Yes, in Zaporozhye, at the tax office, but didn’t you get it? Strange,” writes Zakharov.

In addition, legal entities from Kherson, for example, "the department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Kherson region," began to be entered into the register. It was registered at the address of the city of Kherson, Druzhby Street, 4 at the end of November – at that time Russia no longer controlled the city.
