A Muscovite was charged with “discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” for reposting a video from the public “Real Lentach”. In the video, a pensioner is being detained during an anti-war rally. According to the administration of the public itself, the repost was made back in February last year – on the evening of February 24, on the first day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, including its northern regions.
In the video, according to the caption, St. Petersburg police dragged a blockaded woman into a paddy wagon, who came out with a “No to war” poster. The administration of Real Lentach noted that they had contacted the OVD-Info project in order for the man to receive good legal assistance.
“The repost was made in February, but the case was opened only now. The denunciation was written by the subscriber's colleagues who want to fire him. We asked our friends from OVD-Info to find him a decent lawyer – the guys are already doing it. And, if anything, we will help pay the fine. We remind you: VK is a Kremlin dump that will merge any of your data at the very first request of a comrade major, ”the Real Lentach said in a message.
