Vasily Malyuk, who previously acted as the head of the security service, has been appointed to the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine, UNIAN reports . The deputies of the Verkhovna Rada voted for this decision, and President Volodymyr Zelensky called for the support of Malyuk's candidacy.
The deputies also approved the candidacy of the new Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine – Ihor Klymenko. Previously, he served as head of the country's National Police.
The previous head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denis Monastyrsky, died in a helicopter crash in Brovary, Kiev region, in January.
