Russia has expanded sanctions against the United States and permanently banned entry to 77 Americans, including state governors, advisers to heads of departments, military attaches, children of senators and secretaries. The statement was published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Among others, the list includes the daughter of ex-speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Christine Pelosi.

“Based on the principle of reciprocity, this time the “stop list” includes US citizens who head government agencies in the states, a number of federal departments, as well as companies involved in the supply of weapons to the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv,” the Russian ministry said in an official statement. .

In 2022, Russia introduced similar restrictions, then 200 US citizens were banned from entering, the list included Valerie Biden Owens, the sister of US President Joe Biden, as well as Biden's brothers: James and Francis, and Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi. President Joe Biden was banned from entering Russia back in May.
