The RT security service called a sapper, a dog handler and the police because of Simonyan’s parcel, which contained books about Orthodoxy

The security service of the RT channel called the sappers because of the parcel intended for Margarita Simonyan, reports Baza. The parcel contained two books about Orthodoxy. Simonyan herself confirmed this information, noting that sooner or later the actions of the Baza employees who published this "leak" would fall under the "Bribing" article.

According to Baza, the parcel addressed to Simonyan arrived on February 7th. She was taken away at the post office, and when they brought her to the editorial office, the head of the security service asked Simonyan if she was expecting a parcel. She replied that she did not expect, after which the police, cynologists and a sapper were called to the editorial office. The information was passed on to the Investigative Committee and the duty unit of the FSB.

The package contained two books signed and written by the author Eduard Melnikov (“Russia between Christ and Satan” and “On Orthodoxy for the Intelligentsia”).

Simonyan later commented on the incident:

“Since some well-known alarming incident, I have been under state protection, and therefore, good people in uniform are dealing with the issues of parcels sent to me, as well as my movements, and not myself and not even our security service. That is why no one asked and was not going to ask if I was expecting a package. I didn’t know about all this at all, since good people in uniform are not required to inform me.

Good people in uniform, according to their well-known signs, considered that the package was suspicious. And on the way, some other, bad people in uniform, as they usually do, leaked an operational report for money, which falls under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. And sooner or later it will. You'll see."

In the spring of 2022, the FSB reported on the detention of six members of the neo-Nazi terrorist organization National Socialism/White Power, banned in Russia. The special service claims that these citizens of Russia, on the instructions of the Security Service of Ukraine, were preparing the murder of Vladimir Solovyov.

Telegram channels also published an FSB video in which one of the detainees claims that the murders of other propagandists were also discussed – Dmitry Kiselev, Olga Skabeeva, Yevgeny Popov, Tigran Keosayan and Margarita Simonyan.
