A court in the Belgorod region sentenced a 15-year-old schoolboy to six and a half years in an educational colony in the case of preparing an attack on a school. This was reported on the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.
The teenager was found guilty of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization and preparing for a terrorist act (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code, part 1 of article 30, paragraph “b” of part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code).
The denunciation of the student was written by his teacher. According to the investigation, in September 2021, the boy “began to show interest in the external attributes and ideology of the Columbine organization”, and “became its active supporter.”
The IC report says that the teenager prepared a scenario for an attack on one of the Stary Oskol schools in September 2022, found a weapon and “tried to involve his classmates in committing illegal actions.”
