Russian military correspondents publish video of Russia’s attack by a “water drone” on a bridge in the Odessa region

A video appeared on the network, which, presumably, recorded a strike on a road-railway bridge in Zatoka, Odessa region, according to Russian military correspondents, the strike was carried out by a “water”, “underwater” or “surface” drone. The video was published , among other things, in the pro-Russian Telegram channels "Military Informant", "Military Observer", "Rybar", Colonelcassad, as well as the channels of military correspondents Yevgeny Poddubny and Yuri Kotenok . The Insider was able to confirm the geolocation of the video, it was indeed filmed in Zatoka. How exactly the UAV was struck is unclear, since there is no official confirmation of the information.

According to the date shown on the footage, the strike took place on February 10 at 19:28. The Ukrainian authorities did not report the attack of the “underwater drone”, on the evening of February 10, the Operational Command “South” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the air defense forces shot down Shahed-136 kamikaze drones on approach to the Odessa region. Columnist Yuriy Podolyaka wrote that the attack on the bridge was covered by a Geranium raid, so at the beginning everyone assumed that it was an UAV strike, but the attack came from the sea.

The “Military Informant” calls the drone caught on video a “surface kamikaze UAV”, it is alleged that it was flying from the Black Sea. The Military Observer, in turn, writes that this is supposedly an "underwater / semi-submersible drone."

The propaganda channel Rybar, which covers the course of the war in Ukraine, said that the footage shows a “water drone”. According to him, as a result of the impact, the bridge supports could be damaged. He also gave the coordinates of the impact: 46.0765466, 30.4701274.

According to the military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny, the Russian Federation began to use marine unmanned drones. He called the use "successful", noting that the railway bridge in Zatoka is a gateway for Western equipment and ammunition.

Since the beginning of the war, the Odessa region has been subjected to Russian shelling, including massive rocket attacks. The bridge in Zatoka has also been the target of attacks more than once, the last blow came on January 14th. In April, Russia launched another missile attack on the region, damaging the automobile and railway bridge in Zatoka across the Dniester-Tsaregradskoye arm. Sources of The Insider reported that the bridge is the only direct route to the southwest of the region, in particular, to the cities of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky and Tatarbunary. In case of its closure, it is possible to get to the cities only through Moldova.
