Brazilian lawyer Leandro Matías de Novaes has died. He took a pistol into the room with the MRI scanner, and due to the action of the magnetic field, the weapon fell out and shot him in the stomach. The incident took place in Sao Paulo, according to The Telegraph.
According to media reports, de Novaes is not only a lawyer, but also a well-known blogger who has published materials on TikTok in support of the free bearing of weapons. The Laboratorio Cura hospital reported that the lawyer, as well as his mother, whom he brought for scanning, signed all the protocols about the need to leave metal objects outside the room with the MRI scanner.
“Both the patient and his companion were properly instructed on the procedure for entering the examination room and warned to remove all metal objects,” the medical facility said in a statement.
