More than a hundred people in Turkey became defendants in investigations due to the collapse of houses

In Turkey, 131 people became defendants in cases due to suspicions of violating construction rules. Investigations were launched after the collapse of buildings as a result of the earthquake. Fuat Oktay, Vice President of Turkey, announced this. According to him, one of the suspects was arrested, arrest warrants were issued for 113 people.

In addition, the detentions of people who are suspected of looting during the cataclysm continue. 40 people were detained, from whom $11,000, 70,000 lira ($3,700), 20 mobile phones, 8 laptops, 5 household appliances, 6 pistols and 3 rifles, as well as jewelry and bank cards were confiscated.

After the earthquake, the Turkish opposition criticized the current government of the country because of the massive destruction of buildings – officials are accused of building houses with numerous violations.
