In the Penza region, four people were detained, who are accused of arson on the railway, RBC writes , citing a source close to the Investigative Committee. They became defendants in a criminal case on sabotage, which caused significant property damage. According to investigators, the arson was committed for a reward.

The suspects are three men, among them a student of the Penza State University of Architecture and Construction, as well as a 16-year-old teenager. Three of the four are in jail, and the teenager was "placed under observation."

The detainees are accused of setting fire to the relay cabinet of a traffic light on the stretch between the Penza-1 and Penza-2 stations, as well as the equipment of the contact network of the Penza-2 station. According to investigators, the day before they received a message on Telegram with detailed instructions on how this should be done, and later a reward of 40,000 rubles.
