The European Union is developing a new tenth package of sanctions, which may include sanctions against Alfa-Bank, Rosbank, Tinkoff Bank, as well as the National Wealth Fund of the Russian Federation. It is reported by Bloomberg.

The EU also intends to impose sanctions on dozens of individuals and entities, including politicians and military personnel, as well as:

The new package also includes a ban on Russian citizens from holding positions in the governing bodies of operators of critical European infrastructures and enterprises. EU citizens will be exempt from this provision. We are also talking about a ban on providing gas storage facilities to citizens and residents of Russia, as well as organizations registered in Russia.

The measures will be discussed by Member States this week and may change before the package is approved.

The EU is expected to adopt the 10th round of sanctions next week before the year has passed since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Bloomberg also recalls that at the same time, European leaders are seeking to increase support for Kyiv – through promises to provide new weapons and meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
