For the fourth time during the war in Ukraine, fragments of a rocket were found on the territory of Moldova. Information about this appeared on February 16 on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of the republic.
Border guards found debris near the city of Brichany, bordering Ukraine.
The border police report says that the fall was the result of Russian airstrikes in Ukraine, but the missile's ownership was not specified. This is the fourth time that rocket fragments fall on the territory of Moldova as a result of the bombing of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes, referring to the police.
Earlier, the skies for aviation were temporarily closed over Moldova due to an unidentified object similar to a weather balloon.
On January 14, Moldovan border guards found fragments of a rocket near the village of Larga on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. On that day, Russia launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. In the north, Moldova borders on the Chernivtsi and Vinnitsa regions of the country. In October, another incident occurred – a Russian missile shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system fell in Naslavcha. The Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Russia is using Moldovan airspace to attack Ukraine.
