Krasnodar lawyer Mikhail Benyash was stripped of his lawyer status, media reported . Disciplinary proceedings against him began after the relevant requirement of the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice recommended that Benyash be stripped of his legal status because of his publications, which “discredit the civil service, as well as employees of the executive authorities.”

In 2018, Benyash was charged with assaulting a police officer. According to investigators, during the arrest, the lawyer bit one police officer and hit another several times in the face. Then Benyash was found guilty and fined 30 thousand rubles.
