Novaya Gazeta found a secret railway station near St. Petersburg, allegedly connected with the Kovalchuk family

Near the railway station "69th kilometer" in the Leningrad region, another station appeared – "Igora", writes "Novaya Gazeta". The publication believes that this "secret" platform is associated with the Kovalchuk family. According to local residents, they have not seen electric trains stop here and do not understand why a new station is needed a five-minute walk from the old one.

The Igora station is located next to the "corporate village" of Rossiya Bank, controlled by the Kovalchuk family. Earlier, Novaya wrote that the co-owner of the bank, Yuri Kovalchuk, built the Igora resort, a ski slope, an ice palace and a race track nearby. The complex also includes the country estate "Countryside".

According to a Project investigation published in mid-February, the armored train Vladimir Putin rides belongs to the Grand Service Express company, which is also controlled by the Kovalchuk family. According to the publication, a secret network of railways and stations located near the residences of the Russian president was built for this armored train. Such stations were found in the Valdai National Park, in Novo-Ogaryovo near Moscow, and near the Sochi residence Bocharov Ruchey.
