The Russian authorities of Crimea announced the confiscation of 700 objects belonging to Ukrainian businessmen

As part of the program for the nationalization of the property of Ukrainian businessmen in Crimea, the Russian authorities confiscated about 700 objects of movable and immovable property. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the parliament of the annexed peninsula Vladimir Konstantinov.

“These are land plots, various buildings and premises, construction in progress, warehouses and much more,” he said. Among the Ukrainian entrepreneurs whose property was nationalized are Rinat Akhmetov, Igor Kolomoisky, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Nestor Shufrych, Sergey Taruta and others.

According to Konstantinov, the confiscated property will be put up for auction. “Specific terms have not yet been determined, since the amount of work on the assessment of objects taken into the ownership of the republic is significant,” he explained. The head of the Russian administration of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, promised earlier that the proceeds from the sale would go to the needs of the Russian army.

The Crimean Parliament adopted the decision to nationalize the property of Ukrainian businessmen in November. Among the confiscated were objects related to RusLine Co LLC, the Stroyindustriya plant in Bakhchisarai and the Zaliv shipyard.
