Yuri Shevchuk released a video for an anti-war song

Musicians Yuri Shevchuk and Dmitry Emelyanov released a video for the song “Motherland, Come Home” recorded together. The video, directed by Alexander Kott, was published on the official YouTube channel of the DDT group.

The song contains an anti-war message. In particular, there is a line: "Don't go crazy – this is not your war."

Shevchuk wrote the lyrics of the song last spring, shortly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Radio Liberty notes .

In August, the DDT leader was fined 50,000 rubles under an administrative article about “discrediting” the Russian army. The reason for the persecution of the musician was the speech he delivered from the stage in May during a concert in Ufa. In particular, Shevchuk said that "Motherland, friends, is not the president's ass, which must be procrastinated and kissed all the time."
