Putin promoted seven high-ranking security officials of the “DPR”

Russian President Vladimir Putin promoted seven representatives of the law enforcement agencies of the "DNR". "Minister of Internal Affairs" Aleksey Dykyy received the rank of Colonel-General of Police. The decree is published on the official portal of legal information.

Colonel-General of the Police is the second seniority special rank in the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. Oleksiy Dykyy was the head of the department for combating drug trafficking in the Donetsk city police department in 2011-2014. In April 2014, the new Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, appointed Dikyi as the head of the department for combating organized crime, but he soon went over to the side of the Donbass separatists, participated in the seizure of the regional prosecutor's office and the building of the Organized Crime Control Department. After the annexation of the Donetsk region by Russia, Dyky received the Russian rank of police general.

As for the rest of the appointments, it is known that the “head” of the “DPR” police Vasily Goryachev, as well as the “deputy heads” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the self-proclaimed republic Nikolai Kryuchenko, Igor Melnikov, Dmitry Tareev and Alexander Sheptura received the rank of police major general. Oleg Makarchenko, the “head” of the “DPR” internal troops, was given the military rank of major general.
