An air raid alert was announced on the air of several Russian radio stations. The Ministry of Emergency Situations blamed hackers for this

On the radio in several Russian regions on the morning of February 22, air raid alerts were heard. Information about this was confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. They said that the cause of the incident was a hacker attack on the servers of commercial radio stations.

In particular, air raid announcements were made in Kazan: a Business Online correspondent heard them on the air of Energy and Yumor.FM radio stations. "Attention attention! Air raid alert! Everyone get to cover immediately. Attention attention! Threat of a missile attack, ”such an announcement was broadcast every five minutes.

The press service of the Kazan City Hall told the publication that these announcements were fake. Gazprom-Media, which owns the Energy and Humor.FM radio stations, called the incident a “technical failure” and said they were looking into the situation.

Similar announcements were heard on the radio in Voronezh, Belgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast, and in the Moscow region, as well as in Novosibirsk , Izhevsk , Penza, Tyumen, and Magnitogorsk. The government of the Belgorod region called the announcement of the alarm a fake. “The broadcast of one of the radio stations on the morning of February 22 was allegedly hacked from the Ukrainian side. The goal is to sow panic among peaceful Belgorod residents, ”the message says.
