Police in the Kaluga region began checking media reports that a district deputy from the Communist Party did not stand up during the performance of the Russian anthem. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
According to the media, we are talking about the deputy of the district assembly Alexander Lependin, who remained sitting in his chair during the performance of the anthem after the report of the head of administration.
The head of the administration of the Maloyaroslavetsky district, Vyacheslav Parfyonov, said that the deputy should be held accountable, and also that he did not believe in the version of the deputy himself about his legs “clogged” after training:
“Through the court, he will be held administratively liable and will pay a fine. And next week, the commission on parliamentary ethics will certainly consider this and make a decision. <…>

For a moment of silence in honor of the fallen soldiers of the NVO, we have more than 10 dead guys, he stood up, that is, he understood that this would be discrediting the Russian troops, he would fall under a criminal article.
Earlier today it became known that in Kirov the composer who wrote the anthem of the city was sentenced in absentia. He was found guilty of spreading "fake news" about the army and sentenced to five years in a penal colony.
