Britain imposed sanctions against 92 individuals and entities from Russia

Britain expanded sanctions against Russia, this time 92 individuals and legal entities fell under the restrictions. The list is published on the government website.

In particular, sanctions have been imposed against Russian citizens associated with Rosatom and Gazprom. Also on the list are representatives of the management of Aeroflot and Russians associated with Rostec and Almaz-Antey. Under restrictions now are the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev, the governor of the Tula region Alexei Dyumin, the deputy mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov, the former prime minister Viktor Zubkov, the head of Nord Stream 2 Matthias Warnig, the mother of the gymnast, the head of the board of directors of the National Media Group (NMG) Alina Kabaeva Lyubov Kabaeva.

It also introduces a ban on the export of all components used by Russia in the war, including aircraft parts, radio equipment and electronic components that can be used by the Russian military-industrial complex.

The European Union and the United States have imposed sanctions against the country since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. On February 24, the day the war in Ukraine began, Russia's richest people lost about $47 billion due to sanctions that deprived them of the ability to control their Western assets. The European Union is preparing to introduce the tenth package of restrictions, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, argued that it would be aimed at “closing loopholes” through which the Russian Federation bypasses already established restrictive measures.
