Kadyrov awarded himself the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic. He became the first to receive this award, which he himself established

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, presented himself with the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic, an award that he also established last November. According to the regulation on the title, it is awarded for the accomplishment of a "heroic feat."

State media report that Kadyrov has been “awarded” this title and quote the chairman of the regional parliament, Magomed Daudov, who congratulated Kadyrov on his Telegram channel on conferring the highest title of the republic – Hero of the Chechen Republic for No. 1.

However, this title is awarded precisely by the head of Chechnya, who previously announced the decision to establish the award.

“Earlier, I gave instructions to establish the award “Hero of the Chechen Republic”, which will fully appreciate the feat of our guys. Work in this direction has also been done. We will soon mark distinguished fighters with a new award,” Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel in October.
