Ukraine will not give up gas imports yet. In addition, the supply chain from Azerbaijan has already been tested – expert on the oil and gas market Krutikhin

This is somewhat premature. Theoretically, Ukraine has all the conditions to fully provide itself with natural gas and, in principle, even start exporting it. The reserves are sufficient, the deposits are explored. It is necessary to attract foreign investors who own technologies for intensifying production, that is, stimulating an underground reservoir to increase gas recovery. All this has long been calculated. This issue was discussed at gas forums in Kyiv, and foreign investors were interested. Everything depends only on the political situation. Now it is difficult to attract someone to work in Ukrainian gas fields. It is difficult for Ukraine to fully provide itself with natural gas on its own – a lot of money is needed to purchase equipment and work with foreign technologies.

The country will continue to import gas. In addition, new opportunities are opening up, and this is not only export through the whole of Europe through the corridor from Slovakia and through the pipeline from Poland, but the already tested scheme for gas supplies from Azerbaijan through the gas pipeline, which was called the Trans-Balkan pipeline and through which Gazprom supplied gas to Turkey . Then he goes to Bulgaria, Romania and through Moldova gets to Ukraine. It's just a matter of signing a contract with a supplier. And this scheme has already been tested, there is the consent of Azerbaijan. There are no political obstacles.

It is very uncomfortable for drillers and service organizations to work in conditions of bombing and close hostilities. Ukraine has been doing without Russian gas for a long time. It simply lets transit gas through its gas transmission network. I don't think Kyiv will buy Russian gas in the future. Even emotionally it is impossible, and not only politically.
