The EU adopted the tenth package of sanctions against Russia. It includes a ban on the export of electronics and spare parts, and the transit of dual-use goods.

The European Union adopted the tenth package of sanctions against Russia. This was announced by EU High Commissioner for International Affairs Josep Borrell.

“Putin is stepping up this illegal aggression by using winter, food and hunger as weapons. Russia continues to show its inhuman face with brutal missile terror against civilian targets. Today's 10th package of sanctions is directed against those who play an important role in the continuation of this brutal war. We are taking additional action by addressing the banking sector, access to dual-use technologies and advanced technologies. We will continue to escalate pressure on Russia – and will do so for as long as necessary until Ukraine is liberated from brutal Russian aggression,” Borrell said in a statement on the Council of Europe website.

121 individuals and legal entities from the Russian Federation fell under the restrictions. The restrictions will also affect those "who are responsible for the deportation and forced adoption of at least 6,000 Ukrainian children."

The sanctions also include a ban on Russian propaganda media. RT Arabic and Sputnik Arabic will have their licenses revoked.

In addition, the lists of goods prohibited for export to Russia have been expanded, special equipment, spare parts and electronics have been added to them, and the transit of European dual-use goods and technologies through the Russian Federation is also prohibited "in order to avoid circumventing sanctions."

The package of sanctions also includes restrictions against seven Iranian companies that produce drones and supply them to the Russian army. The restrictions are also directed against three Russian banks, their names have not yet been disclosed. Bloomberg wrote that these are Tinkoff Bank, Alfa-Bank and Rosbank.
