Shutterstock photo bank blocked in Russia due to “destructive materials”

Roskomnadzor blocked one of the world's largest photo banks Shutterstock, the reason was that it hosted supposedly "destructive content" – including suicidal and pro-drug content. The agency promised to unblock the resource after the prohibited content is removed.

Shutterstock is a photo bank where anyone can buy images, in particular, to illustrate articles, news, and thematic materials. Earlier, Roskomnadzor had already blocked the resource – among the photographs being sold, some were found that offended the state symbols of Russia.
