The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced activist Kirill Korolyov to 10 months in prison. He was found guilty of using violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported by the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg.
According to investigators, during an anti-war rally on March 6, 2022, Korolev “pushed a government official with both hands in the back, causing him physical pain, mental suffering and moral harm.” Fontanka wrote that Korolyov, along with other protesters, tried to recapture the detainee from the security officer, and published the video.
The injured policeman by the name of Lesov did not participate in the meetings; earlier he confirmed the absence of claims on his part.
Until the decision of the court, Korolev was under house arrest. He was forbidden to leave the apartment, communicate with persons on the case, use the telephone and the Internet, send and receive correspondence.
