In the Leningrad region, a 16-year-old schoolboy was arrested, accused of trying to set fire to a military registration and enlistment office. He was charged with attempted terrorist act (part 3 of article 30, part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This is reported by the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, on February 28, 2023, a teenager threw several Molotov cocktails at the door of the military enlistment office in Kirovsk. As stated in a press release from the Investigative Committee, the student was unable to "complete his criminal intent due to circumstances beyond his control." He was arrested the same day. A criminal case was initiated against the teenager on attempted intentional damage to property (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), after which it was transferred to the UK. The press release says that the investigation is also checking "the possible involvement of the accused in similar crimes."
