Sixth-grader Masha Moskaleva from Tula was refused to be released from the orphanage, the 7×7 edition found out. The schoolgirl was placed there after her father Alexei Moskalev was detained on charges of repeatedly “discrediting” the Russian army.
The 7×7 journalist called the social rehabilitation center No. 5, located in Efremov. They answered that Masha had not been released and would not be allowed to go home. The shelter employee refused to explain the reasons for this decision and also asked to “stop writing” about Masha. Volunteer Elena Agafonova, who helps the Moskalev family, told 7×7 that she would go to the shelter on Monday.

The authorities of the Tula region claim that they are looking for Masha's mother in another region.
The schoolgirl was sent to an orphanage on March 1, after her father was taken away from a search at the FSB. He was accused of “re-discrediting the army” (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and already on March 2 he was released under house arrest. Recall that this was preceded by an anti-war drawing that Masha drew at an art lesson in support of Ukraine. Her teacher reported this to the school administration, after which the girl was taken to the police and the FSB several times.
