Zolotaya Korona suspended transfers abroad from cards of Russian banks Tinkoff, Sberbank and Alfa-Bank

The Zolotaya Korona money transfer service has stopped making transfers abroad from Sberbank, Alfa-Bank and Tinkoff Bank cards. It is reported by RBC with reference to the press service of the service.

“When making cross-border transfers, we are forced to be guided by the requirements of partners making direct payments for transfers in other countries, settlement banks and our own compliance division, which boil down to unwillingness to carry out operations in violation of the sanctions regimes of third countries,” the press service said in a statement.

On February 25, Tinkoff, Rosbank and Alfa-Bank came under EU sanctions. Banks Sberbank, VTB, Otkritie, Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Rossiya, Sovcombank, the state corporation VEB.RF and MKB are also under sanctions. At the same time, a number of banks, including Sberbank, VTB, Otkritie, were disconnected from the international SWIFT system, which complicates any cross-border transactions.
