Vladimir Kadaria was extradited from Kyrgyzstan to Minsk, who had previously appealed to President Sadyr Japarov with a request not to extradite him to Belarus. Kadaria's lawyer Avtandil Alimzhanov told The Insider about this.
According to Alimzhanov, on March 4, Kadaria was taken out of the Bishkek SIZO-1 by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.
Earlier, Kadariya appealed to President Sadyr Japarov with a request not to extradite him to Belarus. Kadaria's defense believes that his extradition is a violation of international law by Kyrgyzstan.
In his appeal, Vladimir Kadariya said that he fled from Belarus to Ukraine from political persecution and received citizenship there. In Belarus, he was the administrator of an Internet resource that published opposition materials.
Despite this, the Prosecutor General's Office of Kyrgyzstan considers Kadaria as a citizen of Belarus and considers the decision to extradite him legal.
