On March 6, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a series of decrees on personnel changes in the Security Service of Ukraine. So, the deputy head of the SBU Alexander Yakushev, the head of the Department of Economic Support Alexander Provotorov and the head of the Department for the Protection of State Secrets and Licensing Igor Nosok lost their posts. Oleg Khramov was appointed to replace Nosk.
In addition, the Ukrainian president fired the head of the SBU department in the Zaporozhye region, Boris Bezrukiy, and the head of the department in the Sumy region, Eduard Fedorov. The place of the latter was taken by Oleg Krasnoshapka.
In July last year, Zelensky dismissed the head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov, along with Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova. Vasily Malyuk was appointed acting head of the SBU. In February, the Verkhovna Rada approved his appointment.
