Aeroflot will launch retro flights in the style of the USSR – with Pinocchio and Vzlyotnaya candy

Aeroflot will begin operating flights in the Soviet style – flight attendants and flight attendants will be dressed in Soviet uniforms, and passengers will be served Pinocchio, Duchess and Vzlyotnaya sweets. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Aviatorshchina". The flights will be operated throughout this year starting from the celebration of the centenary of Aeroflot.

As reported in the publication, the exact list of destinations is still unknown, but there will definitely be "Soviet" flights to St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Vladivostok. Most of these flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 (RA-73753) in retro livery.

The most famous Russian air carrier will meet the century under international sanctions. In December 2022, the company's CEO said that the Aeroflot group had 357 aircraft, of which 13 foreign-made aircraft were blocked outside Russia.

The sanctions imposed due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine also affect aircraft maintenance, which cannot be fully carried out due to the departure of Boeing, Airbus and Embraer from Russia. In February, it was reported that Aeroflot and other carriers, due to sanctions, are asking to be allowed to increase aircraft maintenance intervals. As an aviation expert explained to The Insider on condition of anonymity, the practice does exist, but it requires mandatory consultations with the manufacturer – that is, Boeing, Airbus or Embraer. Since there will be no such consultations, flight incidents, up to catastrophes, may become more frequent due to innovation.
