Tbilisi police use water cannons and tear gas against protesters

In Georgia, participants in a rally against the law on "foreign agents" surrounded the parliament and tried to break the gates to the building. The police used tear gas against the protesters, just like the day before, according to the Paper Kartuli Telegram channel.

Several windows were broken in the parliament building. Protesters were hosed down with water through the gates of the parliament's backyard. A very loud siren went off for a few minutes.

Baza writes that some protesters are throwing Molotov cocktails at the police. The special forces in response use stun grenades and water cannons. Explosions are heard. The Formula TV channel is broadcasting live.

Earlier, the leader of the radical opposition Strategy Agmashenebeli party, Grigory Vashadze, presented an ultimatum to the ruling Georgian Dream party and gave it an hour to execute it: withdraw the draft law on “foreign agents” and release the detainees on March 7.
