Trade Union “Teacher” urged teachers not to report on schoolchildren

The trade union of employees in the field of education "Teacher" issued a statement in which he called on teachers not to inform on schoolchildren. This was done in response to the situation with the Tula sixth grader Masha Moskaleva.

“We believe that teachers should always act in the best interests of the child. Without this, it is impossible to work at school, it is impossible to build trusting relationships with students and their parents. No child's drawing can be sufficient grounds for violating the rights of the child. Including – the right to be brought up by parents, if they do not use physical or psychological violence against him.

We remind that humanism is the basis of pedagogy, and we call on colleagues to be professionals who have consciously chosen the education and upbringing of children as their life's work. Our task is to resolve difficult situations that always arise in schools, in the interests of children and without the involvement of state bodies, whose actions are usually repressive. Our students must be confident that we will respect their statements, whether or not we agree with them. Otherwise, there can be no question of any education,” the union said in a statement.

Recall that a student of school No. 9 in the city of Efremov, Masha Moskaleva, drew an anti-war drawing in support of Ukraine at a lesson in fine arts, for which the teacher denounced her. After that, her father, Alexei Moskalev, was taken to the FSB, and the girl herself was sent to an orphanage. She is not released from there, despite the fact that the man is already at large. Moreover, Masha is not even allowed to talk to her father on the phone.
