The Pepel Telegram channel published a letter from Belgorod mobilized people who complain about the plans of the command to use them as infantry in the Donetsk region with poor equipment:
“We are called up as part of a partial mobilization. <… > After training, they were sent to the DPR. <…> After [some] time they promised to give guns, but they did not give anything except machine guns, from which we do not even know how to shoot at all. <…> We are like seeds for the enemy, we are very loud in positions, they shoot at our guys, drones with dangerous objects fly. If ours start working with mortars from the scaffolding a couple of times, then the enemy covers these places with 30-40 shells of various calibers, they personally saw and felt this horror themselves, they flew at us repeatedly: both in the house and next to the house, and every day flies , we think: “Will we survive or not?” But God takes care of us. <…> We are being deceived all around. There is no truth anywhere. We were sent to the slaughter. To inevitable death. <…> We'd rather give our lives near Belgorod than stay here in the field and be missing in action. We have seen both corpses and mutilated people without arms and legs, with protruding intestines. We were promised that we would be mortarmen, but they did not give us anything. <…> We are suffering, we ask for help, otherwise we are finished, help us, take us to your lands, and we would rather die there than here.”
On March 7, it was reported that servicemen from the Belgorod region refused to follow orders and complained that they were being sent to the front without training and the necessary equipment. Their video message was published by the Astra channel.
At the same time, the Telegram channel “Caution, news” published a video message from the “territorial defense” fighters — the military from the Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, who are sent to storm the “DPR”.
The military complained that after arriving in Donetsk they were sent to storm the fortified areas without any support, heavy equipment and artillery, “in a word, to slaughter.”
