In the village of Pervomaiskoye in the Simferopol region of the annexed Crimea, FSB officers searched the home of Crimean Tatar Akhtem Ismailov, Crimean Solidarity reports . The reason for the search was a report about damage to the railway in the Postal Bakhchisaray district dated February 23, 2023.
One of the eyewitnesses of the search told Crimean Solidarity that a car with FSB officers drove up to Ismailov's house on March 11 at 7 am. All of them were in civilian clothes and unmarked. FSB officers started knocking on the windows and doors of Ismailov's house and, according to him, frightened his family. The Crimean Tatar called the police and told about strangers who were trying to break into his house, but later let them in. In total, seven officers of the special services were present at the search. Only three of them introduced themselves, two people were wearing masks. They handed the order to Ismailov and refused to involve witnesses in the search. In addition, cynologists participated in the search, but Islam, which is practiced by the Crimean Tatar and his family, actually forbids letting a dog into the house. Together with him, officers of the National Guard arrived for the search.
The search ended at 13:30. FSB officers confiscated Ismailov's phones, laptop and data storage devices. Crimean Solidarity, citing the man's relatives, writes that he was taken to the FSB department in Simferopol for interrogation.
Ismailov is not the first person to be searched in connection with the incident on the railway in Pochtovoe. Since the end of February, FSB officers have been in the house of Soin Dzhelilov in the Simferopol region of Crimea, with Edem Murtazaev in Sudak, with Memet Ashurov in the Krasnogvardeisky region of Crimea, and with Asan Abduramanov in Bakhchisarai. The latter was not in the Crimea. They all deny any involvement in the incident.
