Pro-Russian politician Aivo Peterson has been arrested in Estonia. He traveled to the occupied Donetsk and performed at Solovyov

In Estonia, the Harju County Court arrested the leader of the Koos movement, pro-Russian politician Aivo Peterson, as well as his associates Dmitry Roots and Andrei Andronov, for two months. They are suspected of committing crimes against the Republic of Estonia. The details of the criminal case were not disclosed, but, probably, we are talking about ties with Russia. Peterson was detained at his home in Narva-Jõesuu on the night of March 10th.

As the Postimees edition emphasizes , immediately before the parliamentary elections that took place in Estonia on March 5, 2023, Peterson traveled to occupied Donetsk. After that, he visited Moscow, where he took part in the broadcast on the channel of propagandist Vladimir Solovyov. On February 22, the Koos movement held an event dedicated to "the memory of the people currently dying in Ukraine on both sides of the conflict." The word "war" is not used in the note dedicated to him. Koos also made a petition to the Government of Estonia "with the aim of calling for Estonia to withdraw from the sanctions policy, which harms the inhabitants of the country."

Peterson's closest associate, Koos member Oleg Ivanov, said the movement would fight to free its leader. “In general, we think that this arrest is a consequence of the hysteria that has been in the media all week,” he said.
