A resident of Khabarovsk was accused of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a case of high treason was initiated. Interfax writes about this with reference to the press service of the FSB.
It is alleged that “the suspect, acting on motives of political hatred and enmity,” transferred personal funds “for the acquisition of weapons, ammunition and uniforms by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The FSB released a video of the woman being detained, her face blurred. The footage also shows the detainee being put on a plane, which is then shown at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport.
The woman's name is not mentioned. In the message, the woman is called an activist of the YAMYFURGAL movement, created in support of the former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
On March 4, the FSB announced that it had detained a resident of Moscow on suspicion of treason, who allegedly transferred money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The human rights project "First Department" noted that this is the first known case when a case for providing financial assistance to Ukraine is initiated under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason).
