RIA Novosti has published a video that allegedly shows ground tests of the new TRAMP transport drone (transport aviation multifunctional platform). The first flight of the prototype is scheduled for April.
The agency reports, citing a source in the military-industrial complex, that the device is capable of carrying a load of up to 250 kg over a distance of over 600 km. The drone has a cargo compartment with a volume of 2650 liters, which allows not only transporting, but also dropping cargo with a parachute to a certain point. The cruising speed of the vehicle is 195 km/h, the cruising ceiling is 3 km.
The footage shows the drone taxiing, checking and debugging control systems and mechanisms, as well as jogging on the runway to refine the calculated parameters.
Among the features of the cargo drone is a reinforced chassis with large-diameter tires, which will allow the use of small and poorly prepared areas of land for takeoff and landing. It is also noted that the design of the device allows you to replace the wing, engine and landing gear in the field.
