In Odintsovo, near Moscow, the police detained a man, in the trunk of whose car they found two machine guns and cartridges for them. According to RBC, citing a police source, the detainee said that he had signed a contract with Wagner PMC and fought in Ukraine.

The interlocutor of the publication claims that a representative of the leadership of Wagner PMC came to the police station where the detainee was taken.

According to RBC, the detainee is 25-year-old native of the Altai Territory Akrom Chorshanbiev. The man was stopped by a traffic police officer to check documents. Weapons and ammunition were found in the trunk of his Honda Pilot car.

The man was charged with illegal possession of weapons (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), under this article he faces up to five years in prison.

Meanwhile, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, told RBC that they “did not have and don’t have such a person.” “I have just been informed that a certain citizen Chorshanbiev has been detained in the Odintsovo district … We will try to get his face, so to speak. Let's run it through all our databases and determine – perhaps he changed his last name or something else. But such a person, Chorshanbiev, we did not have and do not have, ”said Prigozhin. He claims that representatives of PMC Wagner did not go to the police on this issue.
