The situation on the front line
Zaporozhye direction. According to the pro-Russian Telegram channel "Military Observer", Ukrainian troops are conducting reconnaissance in combat using armored vehicles in the Pologovsky district of the region.
Ugledar direction. Fierce battles are going on in the Ugledar region. Ukrainian media report that in 11 months the Russian military was forced to retreat eight kilometers. If we take the front line as of April 2022 and March 2023, then the advance of the RF Armed Forces is only two kilometers near the village of Nikolskoye.
Bakhmut direction. Ukrainian Telegram channels have published photos of Bakhmut. The city actually ceased to exist.
The Telegram channel associated with PMC Wagner reports that the mercenaries have taken control of the village of Zaliznyanskoye north of Bakhmut, near the highway to Slavyansk. According to the 2001 Ukrainian census, the population of the village was two people.
The Telegram channel “Rybar”, associated with the Ministry of Defense, reports that fighting continues to the south in Orekhovo-Vasilevka, where consolidated formations of the 30th separate mechanized brigade, the 71st separate chasseur brigade and the 17th separate tank brigade, as well as forces Terodefense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Rybar also reports that in the south, assault detachments crossed Korsunskogo Street and reached the center of the Samolet district. Fights are marked in the direction of the Bakhmut industrial technical school, according to the publication of the pro-Russian Telegram channel.

The battle for Avdiivka continues. North of Avdeevka, according to the pro-Russian “Rybar”, Krasnogorovka came under the control of the RF Armed Forces. At the moment, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing west of the village and securing themselves in the occupied areas, the channel writes, the Ukrainian forces have been actively transferring ammunition and essential products to Avdiivka in the past few days in case the defense is breached.

The Russian air defense system shot down three missiles over the Belgorod region, the head of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov announced this on the night of March 15 in his Telegram channel. According to him, a fragment of a rocket hit a residential sector in Belgorod, there is destruction there. In addition, several households in the Belgorod region were damaged.
According to Belgorod Mayor Valentin Demidov, nine private houses and four apartments were damaged in the city: windows were broken, roofs were damaged. “Window panes were shattered or cracked, broken by fragments of the roof. Two cars were damaged. Fortunately, no one was hurt," the official said.
At the same time, z-channels write that Transneft confirms the discovery of explosive devices on the Druzhba pipeline in the Bryansk region. “The explosives were located at the Novozybkov oil pumping station. Presumably, the mining was carried out with the help of a drone, ”commander Yury Kotenok reported on the channel.
Losses
AFU shot down a Russian Su-24M near Bakhut. This is reported in the z-channels, as well as in the channel that is associated with Wagner PMCs. “Yesterday morning, over the eastern regions of Bakhmut, our Su-24M, presumably belonging to the Wagner Group, was shot down by enemy air defense forces. The crew of the aircraft has two people, but on the video you can see how at least one pilot successfully lands on a parachute and launches flare guns, ”the Wagner channel said in a message.
Arms deliveries
Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that the allies should now focus on providing Ukraine with the right amount of ammunition, as well as air defense systems. To do this, it is necessary to increase production to meet the needs of Ukraine during the upcoming battles this spring, summer and beyond. He also said that the number of countries that agreed to supply Ukraine with Leopard 2 tanks increased from 6 to 9, and the number of tanks intended for shipment – from 112 to 150.
In addition, Denmark is sending another large tranche of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 1 billion Danish kroner (about $140 million), the country's Defense Ministry said. The package includes anti-aircraft guided missiles and other military equipment.
Separate cemetery line for "Wagnerites"
At the Kursk cemetery, a separate line was allocated for Wagner PMC mercenaries. There are already about 35 graves. A number of Wagner graves in the Southern Cemetery were taken by a resident of Kursk. According to her, there are about 35 burials in the line, 15 of them are fresh, and two new ones appeared in the row in a week. Wreaths of PMC Wagner lie near some graves – in the photo these are round red-and-yellow compositions with a star in the middle. According to the cemetery worker, the entire line has been allocated for mercenaries. It has empty, reserved seats. Among the buried Wagnerites is former police officer Yevgeny Alferov, who in May 2022 was sentenced to 8.5 years in a colony-settlement for an accident with two deaths. In December, he was taken from the Smolensk colony to a PMC. In early February, Alferov died near Bakhmut. He was buried in a closed coffin on March 6, Sirena writes .
