Vladimir Kara-Murza could not be delivered to the building of the Moscow City Court from the pre-trial detention center due to a significant deterioration in his health. This is reported by one of his lawyers Vadim Prokhorov. According to him, at the beginning of the meeting, the presiding judge Podoprigorov read out a certificate from the medical unit of SIZO-5 "Vodnik" that, for health reasons, Kara-Murza could not take part in judicial and investigative actions until the end of the course of treatment. The diagnosis is polyneuropathy. These are the consequences of two severe poisonings in 2015 and 2017.
“What is happening clearly indicates that there are clear problems with the health of Vladimir, as even the doctors of the Russian penitentiary system began to show concern,” Prokhorov writes . – In the near future, the defenders of Vladimir Kara-Murza – Vadim Prokhorov and Maria Eismont – will take all possible measures for his early examination in a civilian hospital and treatment. Obviously, the defense will raise the issue of changing the preventive measure.”
Earlier it was reported that Kara-Murza had numbness of the extremities after being in the punishment cell. Kara-Murza was placed in the punishment cell at the end of February because he "was lying on the bunk after getting up." Kara-Murza has been in a Moscow pre-trial detention center on charges of “treason” and spreading “fakes” since April 2022.
